About the author
Hi, I’m Alex. I’m a software engineer (and an engineering manager during the day), book author and once a business cofounder.
I’ve worked with a variety of languages and programming paradigms, from C++ to Elixir to JavaScript.
I have a long time interest in figuring out what makes reliable software. To that end, my current interests are things like functional programming, property-based testing, actor model concurrency etc.
I tend to be an early-ish adopter of new tech, and I felt that it was time to take a closer look at LLMs and agents for software development, even though I am really put off by the hype and the ethical questions swirling around them (both of which have a lot of parallels with the blockchain/crypto bubble). I also wanted to share what I learned—the result is this site.
You can find my other projects and writing at korban.net.
